The Grid Is the Real Border
An interconnection queue is a sovereignty ledger. It records, in megawatts and calendar years, which national ambitions are real and which are press releases. The physical grid does not read policy. It responds to load-flow, thermal limits, and the lead time of a large power transformer. A government can fast-track a permit in a week; it cannot fast-track a substation that takes years or a transformer that takes years more. The queue is where sovereign AI meets thermodynamics, and thermodynamics wins ties. Sovereignty is rationed by the slowest component in the interconnection path, so read the queue and the order book before you believe the announcement.
