Risks and How to Evaluate an Operator
Chips are perishable; energised land is not. Crusoe's Abilene campus showed both sides in 2026: Oracle and OpenAI ended an expansion, and within weeks Crusoe announced a separate campus there for Microsoft. Power that is already secured can be re-let to a new customer. The stress points of the model sit where the clocks meet: contract end dates, loan maturities and the arrival of new chip generations. Faraday's read is that an operator survives by turning chip-era margins into control of power and land, and fails when two of its clocks drift apart at once. The filings show the dates; the reader has to line them up.

Why does control of energised sites lower a neocloud's cost of capital?
Show the answer
Lenders value a fleet more when it sits in a secure, powered site with long tenure, because chips in a building without power are worth very little. A site with power attached can also be re-let to a new customer if the first one leaves. Lower perceived risk means cheaper debt, which lets the operator bid more competitively for the next contract.
