From Signals to a Defensible Thesis
The whole point of this Academy converges here: turning coupled forces and corroborated signals into a view you can state, defend, and update. A thesis is not a prediction dressed as certainty. It is a claim, the evidence under it, the binding constraint it hinges on, and the observation that would prove it wrong — held together honestly. The best practitioners I know are not the ones who are right most often; they are the ones whose views are legible enough that they can tell quickly when they are wrong and cheaply change course. Build your thesis so it can be attacked. A view that cannot be falsified cannot be trusted, and a view that updates fast is worth more than one that was merely confident.

According to the framework, what four elements must a defensible thesis hold together, and why does falsifiability matter so much?
Show the answer
A defensible thesis holds together (1) the claim itself, (2) the corroborated evidence under it, (3) the binding constraint it hinges on, and (4) the specific observation that would prove it wrong. Falsifiability matters because a view you cannot disprove cannot be trusted or updated; specifying in advance what would change your mind lets you detect error early and change course cheaply, which is worth more than confidence that cannot learn.
